A Nichols man shot his wife to death and then took his own life Tuesday morning. The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office announced yesterday that 60-year-old Leon Rogers fatally shot his wife, Debra Rogers, in their home on West River Road in Nichols. Deputies responded after a 911 call and found the bodies of the couple inside their home. Investigators say Mr. Rogers placed the emergency call before taking his own life. The Sheriff’s Office did not release a motive for the shooting.
