Following the suspension of Tioga Downs’ license to sell lottery tickets for selling cigarettes to a minor, owner Jeff Gural now says that both Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs will no longer sell cigarettes. The 6-month suspension, which began in mid August, does not affect casino operations or horse racing. Tioga Downs IS allowed to cash lottery tickets, but they will be unable to sell lottery tickets until the six month suspension expires in February.Gural said this is only the second such violation in his 12 years of operation.
