The Village of Owego has received a $5,000 grant to conduct a study on how to best preserve its historic Central Fire Station. The fire station on North Avenue in Owego received significant damage to its basement and community rooms during the flood of 2011. The recently awarded grant was given to the Village by the New York Council on the Arts to a conduct a condition report which will be the basis of any future repair efforts.
