The date for the second annual Owego Fallen Firefighters Memorial Golf Tournament has been announced. The tournament will be held on June 7th at the Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin. The Owego Fire Department will again be hosting the tournament, which last year drew 65 teams and 260 golfers. Registrations this year is now open and teams are encouraged to register early on the event’s website at owego fire golf dot com. Funds raised from the tournament go toward a $2,000 scholarship for a graduating Owego Free Academy senior pursuing further education in a first responder field, along with building and operating costs for the fire department’s training facility.
