Owego Free Academy’s Devon McFadden is the latest Indian athlete to sign a letter of intent to play Division 1 athletics. McFadden is set to make her decision official to swim for St. Bonaventure University. McFadden swam on the varsity team for six years, as part of five sectional championship teams. She is the only female swimmer from Owego to qualify for the state championship meet in each of those past six seasons. She is the current school record holder for six different events, and holds pool records across the section. In addition to her success in the pool, McFadden has held an academic average above 90 percent for her entire swimming career at OFA and is a member of the National Honor Society.
