The Owego Treadway Inn will soon become a Red Roof Inn. The Treadway on Route 17C in Owego was purchased by Rudra Management Company out of the Buffalo area. Rudra Management also purchased the Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn, and plans to spend a total of $1 Million in renovations for all three properties. The conference center will keep the same Treadway name, however, Rudra Management says that the affiliation of the hotel portion of the property to a national chain will hopefully increase room rentals.
