The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in connection with a strong arm robbery that took place at the Rite Aid in the village of Owego last month. 33-year-old Dale Menendez and 35-year-old Lisa Kleine, both of Talcott Street in Owego, have been charged with second degree robbery after the incident which took place on December 9th. Menendez allegedly used force to steal medication from the victim in the parking lot of the pharmacy at 153 Main Street. Kleine is said to have assisted with the robbery. Both were arraigned on their charges in Town of Owego Court and remanded to the Tioga County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. This robbery was the first of two robberies to occur at the Rite Aid in Owego in the last two months. The second robbery, an armed robbery, is still under investigation. The Owego Police Department is heading that investigation.
