The Tioga County man who allegedly murdered his housemate back in October is out of jail on bail while the case awaits grand jury action. 62-year-old Douglas Every posted a $225,000 bond last month to secure his release from the Tioga County Jail. Every was sent to the jail after being charged with second-degree murder after 39-year-old Milton Jump was stabbed at the residence that the two shared at 281 Thorn Hollow Road in the Town of Tioga. The case is expected to go before a grand jury sometime early next year. Every was standing outside the residence following the alleged stabbing when police arrived, after Every had called 911. Every has been a self-employed realtor in Tioga County for over thirty years, and if convicted of the second-degree murder charge, could face as much as 25 years to life in state prison.
