A 55-year-old Towanda man was killed in a car vs. scooter accident on Tuesday.
According to police, Steven Pennay was driving a motorized scooter on the Merrill Parkway near the intersection with Park Street at around 6 pm on Tuesday when an SUV collided with him.
Pennay was transported to the Robert Packer Hospital where he later passed away from his injuries.
Police said both vehicles were traveling south at the time of the crash.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
