An Elmira man has announced his candidacy for a seat on the Elmira City Council.
Anthony Cantando started his campaign for the fourth district seat on Monday morning.
The fourth district is currently represented by Gary Brinn, whose term ends in 2027.
Cantando is 25 years old and will run as a Democrat.
