BERKSHIRE, N.Y. — A Berkshire woman is facing charges following an investigation into alleged inappropriate conduct in the presence of two minors.
The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Marcy Sherwood was arrested on June 25 and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, both Class A misdemeanors.
According to investigators, the charges stem from an incident in which Sherwood allegedly engaged in inappropriate conduct while in view of two individuals under the age of 17.
Sherwood was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Berkshire Court at a later date.
According to the Berkshire Free Library’s website, Sherwood is employed as a library assistant.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and Sherwood is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
