The Elmira football team made history on Friday night as the Express won their third straight Section IV Class AA championship.
Elmira cruised to a 53-18 win over rival Corning to make it back-to-back-to-back section titles for the first time in program history.
Quarterback Zack Conklin threw for 133 yards and three touchdowns, while Dash Harris ran for 93 yards and two scores in the victory.
Elmira will play Christian Brothers Academy in the state quarterfinals at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Vestal High School.
