A man has been indicted on several charges in connection with a 2025 crash in Elmira.
According to the Chemung County District Attorney’s Office, Sean D. Harding has been charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, leaving the scene of an accident without reporting, assault in the third degree and reckless endangerment in the second degree.
The charges stem from an accident on Madison Ave. in Elmira in December of last year.
According to the indictment, Harding intentionally hit another vehicle on Dec. 5, 2025 and caused more than $1,500 in damage. He then allegedly left the scene of the crash before first responders arrived and didn’t report it.
The accident caused injuries to the other vehicle’s driver and passenger.
