An Elmira woman is facing charges following an incident at a restaurant in Big Flats last week.
According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Larissa A. King has been charged with felony criminal trespass in the first degree and misdemeanor counts of menacing, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
The incident occurred at around 11 a.m. on Friday at the Five Guys on County Route 64.
According to police, King allegedly went into the employee area of the business and grabbed a 10-inch kitchen knife and an open bottle of bleach. She is accused of throwing the bleach onto prepared food, the floor and grill as well as several employees and customers.
After King left the building, the business had to be closed to take care of the bleach exposure.
King was arrested during a traffic stop shortly after the incident. She was issued an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Big Flats Court.
